12V 50Ah LiFePO4 battery w/APP monitoring

This Lithium battery is distinguished by delivering extremely many deep discharges, and thus has a long lifespan. The battery type is LiFePO4 (Lithium iron phosphate), so you can draw quite a lot of current from the battery, see the technical data below.

Smartphone APP

The battery can be monitored from a smartphone (Android or iPhone), where you can see the battery status via a Bluetooth connection. You can see, among other things:

• How much power is left (SOC %)
• Current voltage and current
• Time until the battery is empty or full
• Temperature
• The total number of deep discharge cycles)

The battery has built-in BMS (Battery Management System) , which protects the individual cells against overload, and balances the individual cells within the battery. This increases the lifespan of the battery and means that it can usually replace a regular lead/acid AGM/GEL battery.

For serial or parallel connection

Please note that many lithium batteries on the market cannot be connected in series or parallel, as the BMS system cannot handle this. However, with this model you can connect up to 4 identical batteries in parallel or series to achieve 24V, 36V or 48V.
There is a special procedure for connecting the batteries, which is described in the accompanying Danish instructions.

Advantages of this LiFePO4 battery:

• Up to 3000 deep discharges at 90% discharge, and over 5000 deep discharges at 50% discharge
• Monitoring via smartphone and Bluetooth
• Frost protection. Switches off when charging is attempted in frost.
• Built-in BMS (Battery Management System)
• Low weight per usable kWh (< 50% of AGM/GEL batteries)
• Charges a little per usable kWh (approx. 40% of GEL/AGM battery)
• Stable voltage/current during the discharge period
• Can lie down on its side
• Comes with Danish connection and user manual

For optimal charging, use a LiFePO4 charger (Constant current / constant voltage), or other electronic charger where you can adjust the charging voltages. The battery also works with solar charge controllers where you can set the charging voltages. This applies to most MPPT charge controllers.
