Works as an intelligent diagnostic Terminator
Provides instant feedback using an LED regarding the status of the NMEA 2000 bus. Makes checking the network quick and easy.
In-Line Terminator
No need for a "T" piece when an NMEA 2000 device needs to be operated at the end of a network segment. Allows for simple installation in compact areas such as mastheads.
Universal Terminator
Can be used as a female, male, or in-line terminator. By using only one end, the universal terminator can do everything you need - the only terminator required for any tool kit.
Built-in high-accuracy voltage monitoring
The LED glows green when power is connected and has the correct polarity. It will glow red if the bus voltage drops below the minimum of 9 volts. Very simple status check at a glance.
Supplied with blanking caps
Seals the unused end when the terminator is not being used as an in-line device. If used only at one end, it stops moisture from affecting the electrical circuits.
Robust, flame-retardant molded housing
Durable design, high (UL94 V-0) flammability rating, and waterproof to IP67. Suitable for wet and harsh maritime environments.

The TER-U acts as an intelligent diagnostic terminator that provides instant feedback on the condition of the NMEA 2000 bus on board. It is also a universal terminator that can be used as an in-line terminator or as either a male or female terminator, as it comes with blanking caps.
It features a built-in high-accuracy voltage monitoring circuit that continuously monitors the bus voltage and will turn on its internal LEDs when it detects that the bus voltage has the correct polarity. If it detects that the voltage is within the minimum required range, it will immediately indicate 'GREEN', providing continuous, valuable feedback on the bus condition.
If the voltage drops below the required minimum level of 9.0V, the LEDs will glow 'RED', showing that there is a potential problem with the NMEA 2000 bus power. Similarly, if the LEDs do not light up at all, this would indicate that there was no power or that the polarity was incorrect.
