Full product description
The Ocean Signal SafeSea S200 AIS-SART is an IMO SOLAS-compliant AIS Search and Rescue Transmitter (SART) that provides vessels required to comply with GMDSS regulations with a reliable solution for meeting mandatory SART requirements.
By utilizing AIS Class A position reports, the S200 transmits eight position report messages per minute, enabling real-time tracking in critical situations.
This cutting-edge device transmits precise GNSS/GPS satellite position coordinates to all AIS-equipped vessels within VHF range, ensuring that emergency assistance can be dispatched quickly when needed.
With an average detection range of 5 nautical miles, the S200 integrates Near Field Communication (NFC) technology for easy product registration and access to test data. The high-performance lithium battery provides up to 96 hours of operational life, ensuring reliability under the harshest conditions. The AIS-based system also provides superior performance in bad weather with reduced susceptibility to interference from heavy rain or fog.
A 1-meter extendable telescopic pole can be attached for maximum height and visibility when deployed from a lifeboat, and the SART can be suspended inside the vessel for hands-free use.
Built to withstand the harshest marine environments, the S200 is a reliable partner in any emergency, ensuring that your distress signal reaches any AIS-equipped vessel within range. Its robust construction guarantees it is operational when you need it most!
The manual is only included in English!

1 SART for every four life rafts on Ro-Ro passenger ships
Passenger ships of any size must have at least 2 SARTs regardless of their tonnage
Lifeboats: SOLAS requires at least 1 SART to be available for use in each survival craft
Life rafts: In the case of passenger ships, if there are more than 2 life rafts, there must be additional SARTs so that at least one SART is available for every 2 life rafts.
