The Victron Shunt 2000A/50mV is a high-precision measuring resistor used in conjunction with battery monitors like the BMV series or other compatible systems. It enables power consumption and charging to be measured with great accuracy – even in very large installations.

The shunt is mounted on the battery's negative terminal and acts as the central measuring point in the system.

🔧 Installation

The shunt is typically installed:

  • On the battery negative

  • Between the battery and all loads/chargers

  • Together with a battery monitor (BMV or similar)

  • With correctly sized cables (very important at 2000A)

⚠️ All negative connections must pass through the shunt for accurate measurement.
