Panelernes samlede tomgangsspænding må ikke overstige 100 V, heller ikke i frost. Ved opstart skal PV-spændingen ligge mindst 5 V over batterispændingen; under drift mindst 1 V. Tilslut batteriet før solpanelerne, og vælg korrekt batterispænding og ladeprofil efter manualen.

The Victron SmartSolar MPPT 100/30 manages solar charging of the battery with up to 30 A charging current. Panel voltage, short-circuit current, and battery voltage must all comply with the controller's limits.

Compatibility and installation
The total open-circuit voltage of the panels must not exceed 100 V, even in freezing temperatures. Upon startup, the PV voltage must be at least 5 V higher than the battery voltage; during operation, at least 1 V higher. Connect the battery before the solar panels and select the correct battery voltage and charging profile according to the manual.
Good to know
The solar power in watts depends on the battery voltage. The first number of the MPPT model is the voltage limit from the panels, and the second is the maximum charging current to the battery. Protect the battery connection with a correctly sized fuse. Mount the controller in a dry location with space for cooling.
