Description
The Victron Orion‑Tr 12/24‑5A (120 W) is a robust and reliable galvanically isolated DC‑DC converter that enables the conversion of 12 V from e.g. car or boat batteries to 24 V with stable power for 24 V equipment. It is ideal for systems where 24 V consumers – such as pumps, electronics or other equipment – need to be supplied from a 12 V battery.
It has a wide input voltage range (8–17 V) and an adjustable output voltage in the range of 20–30 V , ensuring flexibility in different installation environments. The device is galvanically isolated, meaning that the input and output are electrically separated – this increases safety and reduces the risk of electrical noise problems in the system.
The inverter also has a remote on/off terminal , which allows it to be controlled with a low-current switch, and it can be paralleled with other units if you want higher total output.
