Full product description
WindyPlug Barometer, NMEA 2000 interface for LCJ Capteurs Wind Sensors.
WindyPlug is a BaroPlug with an interface to connect Ultrasonic Wind Sensors to an NMEA 2000 system.
It features a MICRO C connector to connect directly to the NMEA 2000 network. This is a Plug and Play device: simply install the sensor or the NMEA system backbone to read atmospheric pressure, wind speed, wind angle, and wind temperature.
WindyPlug weighs 35 g and measures 13 cm in length with a diameter of less than 2 cm.
Measurements are displayed with a resolution of millibars or a tenth of a millibar (mb). It is also available in inches of mercury ("Hg").
It measures pressure from 850 hPa to 1150 hPa to a one-decimal resolution and sends the relevant PGN to the NMEA network.
You can also connect your WindyPlug to any compatible NMEA 2000 navigation equipment, of both new and old generations!
For one WindyPlug device, there are two virtual WindyPlugs; you simply select WindyPlug from the list of connected devices:
- WindyPlug V2 (NMEA 2000 V2 before 2014, millibar resolution, 1012 mb)
- WindyPlug V3 (NMEA 2000 V3 after 2014, one-tenth millibar resolution, 1012.2 mb).
The interface connects to the standard CV7, CV7-V, or CV7-C cable.
This simplifies installation with a light, flexible, small-diameter cable in the mast.
