Start with 12/24/48 V, desired Ah capacity, BMS current, and how the battery is to be charged. A lithium battery should be viewed as part of the entire electrical system – not as a simple drop-in replacement for lead-acid.

My advice: If you are in doubt about the alternator, cable sizing, fusing, or charger, get those parts clarified before ordering the battery. That way, you avoid buying a large lithium battery that the rest of the system cannot utilize correctly.
